Sometimes you may need to use multiple VSC instances, such as when combining with WeCam software for simultaneous multi-channel video streaming.
Using multiple VSC instances is very simple. Just set the Number of Instances in VSC’s Options Settings and click Apply. For example, to set up 2 instances:
Note: VSC must be run with administrator privileges when configuring. Additionally, if other programs are using the sound card, you may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
After successful configuration, you’ll see the corresponding VSC devices doubled in Device Manager:
In the system’s Sound Control Panel, you’ll also see 2 VSC Speakers, 2 VSC Microphones, and 2 Line In devices:
When you select Speaker (e2eSoft VAudio) / Speaker #1 (e2eSoft VAudio) as the playback device in other programs, audio played through them will become available as Microphone (e2eSoft VAudio) / Microphone #1 (e2eSoft VAudio) for applications that need to capture sound. Similarly, selecting Speaker #2 (e2eSoft VAudio) in other programs will make its audio available as Microphone #2 (e2eSoft VAudio) for other applications.
Note: In some cases, audio may be routed to Line in (e2eSoft VAudio) while Microphone (e2eSoft VAudio) remains silent. Simply select Line in (e2eSoft VAudio) in other programs when this occurs.
