WeCam FAQs

First, please see the product introduction and related use tutorials.
The software is simple in design and easy to use, and you can easily get started after a little research.
If you have any questions about the registration code (ie serial number, authorization code) please look here.
For WeCam, this is a wrong question.
Unlike other simple implementations on the market, WeCam adopts a kernel-driven mode with the best compatibility. For all other programs including Android emulators, WeCam is a standard computer camera. There is no question of what programs WeCam supports, only whether other programs support the camera. In other words, as long as other programs support the camera, you can use WeCam, unless they deliberately do not support it.
Of course, if you modify the default resolution and output format of WeCam, you need to consider whether the modified settings can be supported by other programs. For details, you can check the format requirements of the related programs for the camera.
First of all, we are computer software, not mobile apps.
However, WeCam can be used as a system camera in the Android emulator, so that it can be used in various Android apps. For details, please see here.
When playing video files, the small speakers in WeCam are gray and can't hear the sound?
Option Settings> Audio Settings> Default Playback Device The speaker button on the right selects the device category, select WaveOut device and try again.
If the camera list is empty:

It may be caused by the privacy settings of the latest version of Windows. You can open Windows Settings> Privacy> Camera and turn on the "Allow apps to access your camera" switch , And then re-run the program.

If only some cameras can’t see it, it’s probably some virtual video:

Maybe the other party's program is 32-bit, but you installed 64-bit WeCam, or vice versa.
If you really want to play, you can uninstall WeCam and reinstall the same 32-bit or 64-bit version of the program as the other party.

First of all, please make sure that your Windows 7 version is at least Windows 7 SP1, and you need to install the Windows platform update Platform Update.

If you still have problems, please try to install DirectX 11 and try again. It is impossible to reinstall the system.

WeCam supports Win7 SP1 / Win8 / Win10, Windows Server 2012 / 2016, and provides 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

WeCam supports the DLNA projection protocol, so you can put photos, videos and music on WeCam for playback through your mobile phone.

Click the Add Media Object button on the toolbar and select "Streaming/Mobile Screen Mirroring" to add a streaming media object, tick [Receive mobile phone screencasting] in the object's property panel, and then you can project the media to WeCam in the mobile phone screencasting APP for playback! Note that when casting the screen, select the device "WeCam" (if you can’t find it, it’s the APP or your network configuration is a problem), you can install iPlayTo | TV AssistantiPlayTo. a> Mirror the screen.

Sometimes we need WeCam's running log to understand why it is not working properly, select Option Settings> Other Options> Generate Logs and then exit WeCam and re-run it will generate logs. Click on the right of this option The icon will open the directory where the log is located.

After completing your operation, you can send the logs generated in this directory to us for analysis.

Please send the crash dump file to us for investigate, thanks.
It's not caused by us, it's probably displayed by NVIDIA GeForce Experience, press ATL+Z to disable it.
Sometimes our video is covered by images like this: In some cases, the image display is chaotic and causes the video to flicker. This is a problem caused by camera protection software (such as 360 Total Security). Google to learn how to close it.
If the software you use is capable of selecting a camera, you can choose ours to use. If not, you can temporarily disable other cameras to use ours:
Find other cameras in "Imaging devices" of the system device manager, right-click and select Disable Device to disable it. Right-click on it and select Enable Device to re-enable it if you want to use it again.

Set the default output size to 1280 x 720 and try again, or try others such as 640 x 480.

If it doesn't work in Windows 10:

It may be caused by the privacy settings, you can open Start  > Settings  > Privacy  > Camera and turn on the "Allow apps to access your camera" switch. Note that in the "Choose which apps can access your camera" list below, if the app you want to use is in the list, turn on the switch at the end.

It is also possible that the default video size, format or frame rate of our camera is not supported by the program. Please modify these settings of our camera to fit it and try again.

Our camera is a standard webcam and can be used in any software or website.
If a program cannot use our camera but can use the hardware camera, it is likely that it is blocking our camera on purpose. You can:

  • iVCam: Change the device name and try again - In PC client, Settings > Miscs > Device Name
  • WeCam: Click here to see more...

When using iVCam/WeCam, sometimes the device driver cannot be installed or does not work properly:
  • iVCam prompts "Please reinstall iVCam!";
  • WeCam prompts "The virtual camera has been disabled!" in the camera panel, but still does not work after clicking the "Enable" button.
Please check here for the possible causes and solutions.
